Wish Big

This birthday card was a lot of fun to create. I knew I wanted to use the "wish big" sentiment, and so I thought it appropriate to have a really tall stack of presents to go with it! *grin*

To create the large stack of presents I stamped the image 3 times, masking off different portions with a post-it note. I then went back in with an aqua painter and colored it in.  I also added some piercing below the sentiment to set it off a bit more.

Thanks for stopping by!

Field Flowers

Today's card uses the Stampin' Up! set Field Flowers.  I think this is the first card I made using this set! The vanilla background panel was impressed with the canvas side of my Linen & Canvas impression plate, though you can't really tell from the photo. I also went in and selectively stamped some areas with BB: Text Style using Crumb Cake ink to help give it more interest. There is some light sponging around the edges with more Crumb Cake.

The flower petals were stamped with Rose Romance ink and I used a stamp-a-ma-jig to help position the darker center portion of the flowers.  I cut them each out by hand and popped them up with foam tape.

I'm Back!

Hello! Sorry to have dropped off the face of the blogosphere for so many months. Things got a bit crazy and I didn't do any stamping or crafting for ages. I finally found some creative time and now have a slew of cards I need to get photographed so I can share them on my poor, neglected blog. Until that happens, here is a card I gave to my husband for our 3 year anniversary last month. Have a great 3 day weekend and I'll be back next week with more projects!
